Robert (Bob) King (1927 — Jan 12, 2012)

Unknown
January 12, 2012

Sadly, we report that Bob passed away on January 12, 2012, in Toronto. Bob was married to Robbie for 57 years and had three children, John, Cathie, and David. Bob and Robbie purchased the property on Kahshe Lake in 1961 and built the cottage in 1962. He loved the cottage and greatly enjoyed being the president of the Kahshe Lake Association for several years. Some of his many interests on the lake included attending church services and visiting his many friends in the area among them his brother and sister-in-law.  Bob greatly enjoyed socializing with those on the lake and will be remembered for his fervent generosity, kindness, and caring personality.

Bob always enjoyed raising the Canadian Flag which still flies strongly today along with the Martin house which stands close beside it. Although we rarely get Martins now, he enjoyed watching the many birds that utilized the home. The flying squirrel visiting the bird feeder in the evening was a special treat to my dad and attracted many neighbouring cottagers to enjoy the sight. The King family will continue to enjoy Kahshe Lake and Robbie still comes up with the children and grandchildren occasionally.  As a favourite family place our good memories will always include Dad as he was a big part of our lives.
