My career started as a landscaper, I felt spoiled being on the lakes every day and although I loved my job, watching carpenters build luxury cottages caught my attention. It was then I decided to pursue the carpentry apprenticeship. I trained alongside some excellent carpenters that had honorable work ethic and craftmanship and I quickly advanced through the levels of training and earned my Red Seal Certificate in Carpentry. Thirteen years later, Craig Watson Construction Inc. was formed. Today, I honor those “old school” values I trained alongside and implement them in all aspects of my business. I have been privileged to have built and continue building some of the finest custom cottages and boathouses amongst the shores of Muskoka Lakes. Although superior craftmanship is my specialty, communication between clients and trades at every phase is our utmost priority. Our team of licensed carpenters and helpers combines over three decades of construction experience and undertakes a variety of projects including custom cottages and boathouses, to luxury homes and renovations, to decks and docks, to Islands and project management. JVS Landscaping and Contracting is owned and operated by Jay and Vanessa Smith, living year round on Kahshe Lake. As a local small business we service mostly the District of Muskoka, however also the Districts of Simcoe, Parry Sound, Haliburton and Kawartha Lakes. Our Kahshe and Bass Lakes neighbours will always be first priority! With a wide variety of experience, skills, and construction related relationships, we provide all types of landscaping and contracting services. From foundations, footings, other excavation needs, septics, driveways, pathways, retaining walls, patios, firepits, steps and other landscape work, to decks, fences, blasting and lot clearing. Over 25 years of construction, landscape and excavating experience at your service and providing free quotes. First time Kahshe and Bass Lakes clients will receive a discounted rate. Lake access and rural properties are usually not a problem for us. References available upon request.
