Annual General Meeting Moves to Kahshe Lake

The KBLA extends a heartfelt thank you to the Schleese family for welcoming the association to their Tack Building to host the 2026 Annual General Meeting. The Schleeses moved here about five years ago and have been thoughtfully restoring the historic barn and surrounding outbuildings, breathing new life into a space rich in character and history, preserving its past while carefully reimagining how the community can experience it today.

Please note the space is still undergoing renovations. We hope to see many of you at this exciting new facility, steps away from the lake.

Beach Etiquette

Beach season has arrived, and so has the Port-A-Potty! Please enjoy using the beach courteously with your family and friends. The KBLA has a dedicated team of volunteers who maintain the beach for the benefit of the community. We would like to remind everyone that it is a safe space for the entire community.

  • Garbage: Please take your garbage with you when you leave. The city does not pick up garbage from our private beach; in order to keep our beach clean, it is necessary to take all your items and garbage home after each visit.
  • Dogs: Keep on leashes only, and scoop the poop. This is to the benefit of everyone who plays on the beach.
  • Port-A-Potty: Facility is located at the government dock by Denne’s Marina. Your membership dollars pay for this benefit.

Sawdust City Beer Collaboration

Thank you to everyone who purchased cases of Kahshe Lake Lager, called The Loon’s Call, to support our KBLA fundraiser. We were able to commit to two canning runs due to demand from the campaign.

Those who ordered will have been emailed by Sawdust City Brewery to notify them to pick up the order.

If demand persists for the summer, we can ask Sawdust City if they will do another canning run for us in July. Please email president@kahshebasslakes.com to let me know if there is demand.
