Irene Barker (1928 — 2017)

Unknown
December 1, 2017

Keith and Irene have savored their beautiful view of Kahshe Lake from the cottage on Sam Cook Road since 1970. They spent summers with their four children (David, Karen, Janice, and Andrew) enjoying outdoor activities, water sports, and fishing.

As the family grew to include fourteen grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren, they acquired the adjacent cottage property (1990) where Irene found Kahshe Lake to be the perfect place to connect with family. She always had a basket of yarn to crochet into an afghan, and plenty of ice cream to dish out when Keith blew the mid-afternoon whistle. One of Irene’s favorite cottage outings was a long, slow pontoon boat ride around Kahshe’s many bays and islands.
