Lloyd Schlenker (July 21, 1949 — May 20, 2022)

It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of Lloyd Schlenker on May 20, 2022, following a hard-fought battle with cancer. While Lloyd enjoyed a long career with Bruce Power (formerly Ontario Hydro), his true passion in life was spending time with his family. This was the catalyst for Lloyd and his wife Micheline’s purchase of their Kahshe cottage 13 years ago, as a gathering spot for their children, grandchildren, and friends. 

He loved to fish, although he would spend most of his time tending to other people’s lines, enjoyed his morning kayak rides around Boyd Island with his son, spotting in the boat for hours during water sports, Sea-Doo rides around the lake, swimming with his grandkids and having pontoon picnics with the entire family. While his time at Kahshe was relatively short, he was able to cram a lifetime of memories in with the people he loved. He is deeply missed by his family and friends, and his memory lives on in all that we do at the cottage.
