The 76th Annual Kermit Long Fishing Derby

Julia Harrison
July 3, 2026

This year, we are proud to celebrate the 76th Annual Kermit Long Fishing Derby, a beloved Kahshe Lake tradition that has brought families and friends together for generations. More than just a fishing competition, the derby is a celebration of community, the outdoors, and creating lifelong memories on the water.

The KBLA would like to extend our sincere gratitude to McAulay Construction and Steimer Engineering for generously volunteering their time and leadership to carry this cherished tradition forward. Their commitment ensures that the Kermit Long Fishing Derby will continue for future generations of Kahshe families to enjoy, and we are incredibly thankful for their support and dedication to our lake community.
