Frank Doran
Frank Doran was raised in Oro-Medonte, where he learned the fundamentals of butchery while working alongside his parents at a local meat processing plant.
At 18, he began his career at Fahramet (now Kubota), cutting steel on the shop floor. Recognizing his potential, then-Vice President Bernie McClafferty—Doran's lifelong mentor—offered him an opportunity to move into the office as an Engineering Clerk.
With hands-on experience in the foundry industry, Doran advanced to an Engineering role and later became an Engineering Buyer, where he honed his skills in sourcing quality materials at competitive prices. After an impressive 37-year career, he retired from Kubota and returned to his roots. He now works part-time at Canoe in Washago, once again cutting meat—bringing his journey full circle.
