With a lifelong connection to Kahshe Lake, Marlene Clune is a dedicated KBLA member.

Bringing a blend of personal passion for the lake and professional expertise as a self-employed corporate law clerk, her contribution to the board is invaluable. As Secretary, Clune meticulously drafts the official board meeting minutes, curates the annual report, and actively upholds compliance with Ontario's not-for-profit corporation regulations. In the upcoming years, her focus will extend to facilitating the smooth transition of the organization's corporate charter and by-laws to align with the new Ontario Not-for-Profit Corporations Act (ONCA).

Favourite Kahshe Memory

My favorite Kahshe memories are plentiful — summer friendships that have turned into lifelong friends, bonfires, boat rides, the excitement of a brand new styrofoam surfboard, living dangerously by tubing on real inner truck tires, the right of passage by conquering Mt. Mary, Archie comics, putting on white pants and going to Rockhaven Inn for dinner to working at Rockhaven Inn as a teenager for four summers, water skiing afternoons, the Store, Thanksgiving dinners at my aunt and uncles across the bay, lunch out at Sloans, the best gathering spot for family and friends, cherished memories of my parents who are now only with us in spirit, introducing my husband to this little slice of heaven and watching our kids fall in love with it.
