Greig Holder, a seasoned professional with a background as a retired IT general manager and consultant, brings his extensive technical expertise to his role within the KBLA.

Having held various executive positions on the KBLA board, Holder's commitment to the association has been unwavering. He has seamlessly transitioned through all board executive roles and made significant contributions to essential committees such as the Conservation Committee and the COM Committee. With a wealth of experience and a deep understanding of technical intricacies, Holder continues to play a pivotal role in advancing the association’s goals.

Treasurer

The Treasurer shall receive and disburse all funds and keep accurate records thereof and shall render an account of his/her transactions as Treasurer and of the financial position of the Association.

Responsibilities

  • To account for annual dues from members as well as any other income.
  • To keep accurate records of all transactions and disburse funds when necessary
  • The funds of the Association shall be deposited in a chartered Canadian Bank or Trust Company. Any expenditure contemplated more than Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) requires the approval of the Board of Directors.
  • Make sure expenditures are consistent with the purposes of the Association and its budget, and receive directors' approval where appropriate. 
  • An annual financial statement prepared by the Treasurer shall be reviewed by either an accountant or by two members of the Association.
  • On behalf of the directors, the Treasurer shall see that all necessary books and records required by the By-Laws of the Association or by any applicable statute or law are regularly and properly kept.
  • The Treasurer will provide an Annual Financial Statement and a Budget to the members at the Annual Meeting. 
  • At AGM, present financial information and present statement from "Reviewers" of previous year's figures.
