Chuck (Charles) O’Brien (Nov 23, 2012)

Kahshe Lake has lost an all-time devoted fisherman and hunter, a true outdoorsman, and a longtime resident of the lake. One would often see Chuck trolling endless hours, day or night around the Hens and Chickens, just one of his favourite fishing areas on the lake. So, it made perfect sense that Chuck, his mom, Bessie, and his sisters would build a cottage on the main channel facing the Hens & Chickens. 

In the summer, young kids on the lake would love to visit him, knowing they were assured of lots of candy, popsicles, and a new fishing lure so they could try to "catch the big one!” A retired employee of Allied Conveyors, Chuck passed away on Friday, November 23, 2012.  He will be sadly missed by his family and friends. Chuck was ever gracious, helpful, friendly, loyal, and had a smile that would light up any room.  This world needs more like him.
