The 74th Annual Kermit Long Fishing Derby

The Kermit Long Fishing Derby is a dynamic activity for Kahshe kids and cottagers — 2024 marks the 74th Annual Kermit Long Fishing Derby.

8:00 AM-4:00 PM 

Rules 

• Have Fun! 
• Fish must be caught between 8:00 AM-4:00 PM on July 13, 2024. 
• Winners will be announced via the Kahshe and Bass Lakes website on Sunday morning.
• Derby is open to kids ages 16 and under.
• We practice catch and release.

Location

Enter at the Swirla/Miller dock. NE side of Boyd Island between 8:00 AM-4:00 PM or at Dennes from 3:00 PM-4:00 PM.

Prizes

Available for pickup on Sunday, July 14th, between 8:00 AM-11:00 AM at the Swirla/Miller dock or 11:30 AM-12:00 PM at Dennes. Excitingly, this year we're offering cash prizes for the top three fish in each of the 10 categories, along with even more impressive grand prizes! Expect top-of-the-line tackle boxes, rods, nets, trophies, and an abundance of lures — and don't worry, every participant will receive a goody bag, regardless of their fishing success.
